2012 REFLECTION

I am doing this final post for this year and I'm going to tell you somethings that I've enjoyed over 2012 in room 15.
I have had a wonderful year at this school and I really like it at this school. I really liked learning and especially like playing with my friends and  learning with my work friends as well. I really liked going for trips this year like going to the pools to do some swim safe. Swim safe is a thing where you learn how to swim. What I have improved this year was swimming because I am really good at swimming. And something else that Ive improved this year was how to write sentence in writing and how to read out my sentence before I wirte my sentence I am going to write. I have improved heaps of different things at school in 2012.

THE GREAT EGG DROP

This week Rm15 have been learning how to do and egg drop challenge and we did it in our country groups। Our country groups name was MEXICO we had to get our egg from our teacher Mr Marquand। Then we had to get our recycle paper from our teacher to and we had to get sellotape. Then we had to make the egg be protecting and if we didn't it will all break. I it breaks you will not win the challenge but if you do win the challenge you will get a prize like a chocolate fudge. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm yummy I like that my favourite. :)

ROOM15'S ASSEMBLY

had a assembly that was on Friday the 9th of November. What it was about was about Same Same but Different. What we did was we did heaps of practicing before we had to do it in front of the whole school. Eveybody in room15 had to practice some of there skits that they had to talk in front of everybody about. What we did for some ofn the things for assembly was we did a game show fist and for the game show room15 had to choose who the teachers were for the game show. For the game show there was only aloud 3 teaches answerenig with a twenkle bell,shaky shaky,elephant trunk before you use it you  have to think then use it.

I THE WORLD WERE ONEHUNDRED

What we did for this project we imagined the world was shrunk into 100 people. Then we did how many people have electrecity and who does'nt have Eelectrecity. Then we found out that fifteen of the onehundred people would not have electrecity.

ADDING DETAIL :)

In Rm 15 we have been learning about adding detail to a boring sentence। For example I changed the sentence the dog barked।
The red bull dog barked as loud as it could while trying to kill the blue angry pit bull.

FRACTIONS 2/3rds OF 12

Today I am going to show you how to solve 2/3Rd's of 12 so the 3 is 3 3rd`s and the 12 is a hole. 3 groups of 4 and that so and so 2 groups of 4 equals 8 and ND that is how there is equals 12 and that is a hole you can solve fraction problems. From. Lorenz mekuli.

The boring est thing to do in the art was cutting, placing them, and then gluing them on to a piece of paper. The challenging thing is when I have to glue it and then check and see if there is white spaces then we have to go over it with the pieces of paper and then glue it on where ever the white space is and then next time I could do it my best to get use to it.

MATHS

I am going to tell you about what I have learnt in maths. What I have been learning about maths is halving and doubling. Halving and doubling is like when you can do 6x14 so you double 6 then halve the 14 and then it would be 12x7=84 and that is how you can solve problems.

I chose this topic because I found out about it from my mum and I said to myself this looks interesting so I done it

Before my speech I felt excited because I like talking to other people.

After my speech I was inpressed with my self.

What I am proud of is my self because I tried a little bit of my best.

Next time when I do my speech I am going to do my best and add more information to it and make it longer then last time.

LETTER HOME FROM THE TRENCH

Dear Mum and Dad Day 1
I hate it here in this War. The shots here are so loud I can hardly here my self think. This is the worst day of my life because the flies here are very bad. I can hardly see where my opponents to where I am going to shoot. War is not a nice place to be in because you can taste blood and smoke, rough dirt, and other peoples blood. YUCK! I am living in the trenchers where people go to the toilet for number 1 and 2. That is very bad how it smelt. It smelt like rats running around and mud smoke and smelt like the toilet that they use. Everyone around me is getting hurt. I saved 5 men's lives by giving them some of the stuff in the medical kit and some of my blood. I am so proud to be saving other peoples lives in my army team. I can't wait until I get home.

STOP MOTION EXPLANATION

ANZAC AND WAR

Some of the things that I learnt is some of the things I already knew like they build up some trenches and they make stuff for them so they can go to the toilet and do some other things. They sometimes use a bucket or they will dig up a littlt hole or a big hole. They use the bucket for number 2 and they use the little hole or the big hole for the number 1 or number 2 for the big hole sometimes. And they shave as well the trench is a long hole. there was this medical person named simpson he was a donkey man. Red is the color that was on the mud because of the blood of our enemies in our country and AUSTRALIA. There is some other colors to like brown and black and white and some other cool colors.

Hydro Power

I learnt that when the water turns the turbines it makes electricity because when the magnets on the turbine spin the go past the copper coils it makes electicity. How do you control the dam? Is my question for the dam.

INTRODUSING ME

Hi my name is Lorenz Mekuli.
I am a year 6.
I have always lived in hamilton but I would like to live in AMERICA because I would like to get a good job there.
My favourite place in hamilton is town because I could go to TIMEZONE.
Some things I love is my nephew and all sorts of games and best friends.
This is a collage portraitof me. To make this I had to take a photo rip up lots of paper glue them on my shirt and background.:)

Challenge Assembly

I think what went really well was the Christchurch earthquake because people laughed when we fell over.

The part I thought was funny was when Bedir talked about Mr Marquand's hair.

One thing I did in assembly was the cameraman for the Christchurch skit. I wasn't nervous and enjoyed it.

The main message of the assembly was about challenge.

An idea I have for making the assembly better is having someoneone next to people who forget their lines to remind them.

CALENDER ART

What we did was we firstly chose a background

then I glued my background on my white piece of

paper. Then I drew a tree then I cut it out then glued that on and then I cut out my leaves and stuck them on. I felt really impressed. I could of put better backgrounds.

Before my speech I felt... NERVOUS.

After my speech... I did'nt feel NERVOUS because I had a chocolate MARSHMELLO.

Something I did well was... having a little bit of eye contact which was my goal.

Next time I want to work on... speaking clearly with EXPRETION.
